Overview

Barbara Schellenberg is a seasoned litigator and appellate lawyer, regularly appearing before the Connecticut Supreme Court and Connecticut Appellate Court, where she has briefed and/or argued well over 100 appeals. Barbara’s diverse practice focuses in the area of appellate law, land use and zoning, and municipal law. Her clients include individuals, small businesses, corporations, towns, cities, developers, and attorneys. She has represented both clients that appeal decisions and those defending appeals filed against them.

In addition to her practice before Connecticut and federal appellate courts, Barbara appears regularly before local zoning and land use boards, and judges in the trial courts. She has obtained successful results for her clients in a wide variety of matters, including contract disputes, divorce and post-marital dissolution, securities, foreclosure, attorney grievance, personal injury, tax and estates, affordable housing, zoning and wetlands appeals. Barbara has been recognized since 2012 by Connecticut Super Lawyers for her appellate work.
