FULLTIME BOOKKEEPER

Pay: $65,000 to $70,000 per year
Our growing law firm is seeking a highly skilled full-time Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of our accounting functions and ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient financial operations.
Job Summary:
· Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including firm billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and deposits.
· Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurately recorded, including trust account coordination/IOLTA compliance.
· Prepare the annual workers’ compensation insurance audit.
· Track annual CLE requirements and ensure credits are completed and up to date.
· File and pay applicable taxes, registrations, dues, and related obligations.
· Prepare client settlement statements.
· Oversee billing, timekeeping, and collections to support timely invoicing and disciplined cash flow management.
Experience:
· Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounting practices.
· Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred.
· Knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024, LawPay, or a comparable platform is preferred.
· Experience with municipal and/or governmental accounting and billing practices is highly desirable.
· Familiarity with financial reporting, budget preparation, debits and credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet reconciliation.
